I am grateful that I learn so many things while wa

I am grateful that I learn so many things while watching my daughter grow.
And if I am honest, many if not most things I learn are about myself.

I expect her to control her emotions.
But then I recognise she is copying my own emotions.
Emotions that I don't dare to look at. Emotions that I was not even aware of.

On this winter day, I am at home while the world outside seems to fall apart, again and again.

It is so gloomy and depressing. And still, there is this ray of hope and happiness, of sunshine behind the trees.

Hope and happiness that I don't want to lose, that I want to hold on to.

And I recognise that this hope and happiness is inside of me, that I am the one who has to find a way to keep it next to me.
